Description
We are recruiting a Leasehold Services Officer for a public sector client in East London who can process all permissions and queries relating to the Lease, including applications for alteration or improvement and lease enforcement. The officer will ensure all leasehold account details are accurate, including lease/property ownership transfer, leaseholder contact details, and correspondence address. The officer will also liaise with the Property Services Team about lease extensions, keep up-to-date records, and adjust leasehold accounts accordingly. The officer should be experienced in providing Leasehold advice to other departments as necessary.
Responsibility
To monitor the accuracy of all records on databases to ensure all sums are invoiced accurately and promptly. Prepare repair listings for distribution to leaseholders, deal with all related enquiries, and adjust accordingly.
Qualification – Essential
GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
Degree level or equivalent, e.g. NVQ level 4 or relevant experience.
Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, CRM, and Social Media.
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
Experience in dealing with the public and giving unambiguous advice on complex issues.
- The ability to meet deadlines and targets.
- Ability to achieve challenging targets despite constraints and obstacles.
- Ability to understand, summarise, and explain complex documents, such as leases, including applications for alteration or improvement and lease enforcement.
- Experience in debt recovery.
- High level of numeracy in calculating service charges.
- Demonstrate a high level of verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service skills are essential.
- Experience in dealing with the legal recovery of service charges.
- Some knowledge of leasehold law is related to the right to buy leaseholders.
- Knowledge of Section 20 Consultation process.
Essential Compliance Requirements
- Three Years of References.
- A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
